Shnurer Union Formed
BROOKLYN, NY — [TheKnish.com] Shnurer Local 613 was officially created yesterday, making it the first local chapter of the newly formed Shnurer Labor Union (SLU). Headquartered at the back corner table of Synagogue Shomer Shabbos in Boro Park, it hopes to create local chapters throughout the world.
"SLU will speak up for the rights of Shnurers everywhere," stated SLU President, Rabbi Mechel Greenblatt, at the union gala, which took place after the 2:30 mincha minyan. "We think this is a very important step in Shnurer Rights." The gala would have lasted longer but the 3:00 minyan started and all the attendees dispersed throughout the shul to collect.
